Dr. Fadel is a prolific researcher and innovator in the field of neurosurgery, with a focus on minimally invasive approaches to complex brain tumors and spinal disorders. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, and the Journal of Neuro-Oncology. He remains deeply committed to advancing the field through research and education, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest evidence- based treatments.

Awards & Honors:

Dr. Fadel’s preeminent brain tumor research, particularly his description of the minimally invasive use of Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) to treat complex brain tumors, has won multiple awards and has been published in the leading neurosurgical journals including the Journal of Neurosurgery and the Journal of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Fadel has also worked to advance minimally invasive spine surgery, with his work in the Michigan Spine Surgery Collaborative (MISSIC) winning multiple awards and being showcased in the leading neurosurgical spine journals.

Dr. Fadel is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, theCongress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Fadel also sits onthe board of the Michigan Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Education & Training:

Dr. Fadel completed his neurosurgery training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his peripheral nerve surgery training at the University of Michigan and his pediatric neurosurgery training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Prior to neurosurgery, Dr. Fadel graduated in the top of his class at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he was inducted in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor’s Society.
